The Impact of the MVP: One Citizen’s View

Judee Rauchle from Preserve Franklin was kind enough to allow us to share the presentation she made on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 to the Franklin County Board of Supervisors. We appreciate her letting us post her comments and the time she took in preparing this.

Good afternoon, Gentlemen. I thank you for allowing me to speak on behalf of Preserve Franklin. Your Property Rights

The Mountain Valley Pipeline as well as the Appalachian Connector (actual path yet to be divulged) projects are slated to run through our region.  All of us need to understand our rights as property owners.  Please come to a meeting we are hosting on Monday, November 17th at 7 p.m. with Waldo & Lyle, LLC.  The meeting will be held at Custom Catering located at 902 Patrick Henry Drive in Blacksburg (this is in the Patrick Henry shopping center located at the corner of N. Main Street and Patrick Henry Drive).  Joe Waldo and his associates will empower us by providing the information we need to protect our homes and properties.  After their presentation, they will also talk with individuals to discuss their specific issues/concerns.  We moved this meeting to a larger venue to accommodate as many people as possible.
